Beach Honey is a truly exclusive honey for its organoleptic characteristics. It is produced in the Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli Regional Park, in the stretch of shore bounded by the sea and the pine forest. An unspoilt area, rich in the vegetation typical of the Mediterranean area. From June to August the bees forage nectars and resins, and the honey obtained will have the flavour of the sea and of the beach flowers, an amber colour and a fine crystallisation.
The intense scent is the characteristic one of the beach flowers — cistus, tamarisk, strawberry tree, pittosporum and, in particular, curry plant (called “camuciolo” in Versilia) — whose fragrant essential oil is gathered by the bees together with the little nectar that the beach plants make available to them.
The aroma is light, but the flavour is bold and typical, intense, and recalls the wild and untouched beaches of the Mediterranean coasts.
Production is very limited.
