Vineyards with rows flowering with “vagabonde”, olive groves where you can gather the legendary “erbi” to prepare traditional sweets and soups, vegetable gardens where, side by side, in a virtuous insect-repelling alliance, grow carrots and onions, tomatoes and basil, garlic and aubergines, lettuce and radishes, as well as marigold, nasturtiums and tansy — a foretaste of tasty and very colourful salads!
These are the landscapes of biodynamic agriculture, an evolution of the organic method that extends to the entire farm an organicist vision in which everyone — farmers, animals and plants — must contribute to fertilising, nourishing and keeping the whole ecosystem healthy, starting from the soil.
In Lucca, a sizeable group of farmers inspired by Alex Podolinsky have come together to share experiences and network, to contribute responsibly to the growth of this enchanting territory, to actively perceive nature and interact with it.

Maintaining biodiversity and crop rotation; observing the lunar phases in sowing and cultivation; a ban on the use of chemical products — these are the principles of biodynamic agriculture. Its aims are to maintain and increase the fertility of the land through the care of the humus, to improve the soil and to produce healthy plants and foods that strengthen human metabolism.
A path that begins with observation and leads to understanding, responsibility and participation.
